It started
on a mug
From an Etsy hobby to a UK Start-Up of the Year award, and from a motoring mug to art on your wall. This is where Rolling Render comes from.
Following a hobby dabbling on Etsy, we launched Sipfull of Design to the world almost a year to this day. Our principles were simple: produce the very best products and treat people as you'd hope to be treated. Oh, and throw a bit of innovation into the game.
It's a recipe that proved effective. Sipfull has grown fast and — one thing we're particularly proud of — won a UK Start-Up of the Year award, recognising our values for what is still very much a family business.
Produce the very best products and treat people as you'd hope to be treated.
That it would veer towards the motoring scene is no surprise to anyone who knows us. Danni — my wife and co-director — and I are complete petrolheads, and both of us competed actively before children came along. We're proud to have made Sipfull probably the biggest motoring mug site in the UK. But that was never going to be enough. We had to keep moving forwards.
Step forward Rolling Render — which, funnily enough, started on a mug. Constant requests from customers wanting their car on a mug pushed me to think outside the box. Photo uploads just looked rubbish; there had to be a better way. My background in development sent me off looking for solutions, backed by Danni's eye as a designer. Rolling Render launched after nearly three months of building and testing.
We were delighted with the feedback — but the same question kept coming.
Why aren't you offering these as prints?
Locking yourself in a room while managing two small businesses and three children is never easy, but so it was. There was no banging and crashing like in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, but eventually the door opened and Rolling Render — the prints — was finished.
Little did I know that was probably the easiest bit. Finding a good printing partner was the bigger challenge. I've lost count of the samples that arrived on our doorstep, and I was perplexed by the lack of attention to detail — regardless of price. Thankfully we got there and we're delighted to be working with a partner who shares our obsessive attention to quality and customer service. It's always daunting handing over production, but we feel we're in safe hands.
Why the huge range of prices? Car nuts come in all shapes and sizes and, crucially, with different budgets and time. We were desperate to make this as good value as we could for those on a shoestring — our prints give you something bespoke you can frame yourself (we all love an Ikea frame). But we also wanted the wow factor, and there's no doubting the big framed canvas delivers just that. It isn't cheap, but it makes a statement. And for the person who has everything, is there a better present?

From a forty-year-old Panda to a priceless Koenigsegg.
Through all the testing we've brought to life everything from a forty-year-old Panda to a priceless Koenigsegg. We rather suspect that last one wasn't sitting on the owner's driveway — it was the dream — and that's rather the point. Whether it's the car on your drive or the one you'd love to open the garage door and find waiting for you, it deserves a place on the wall. It's that mix of cars and dreamers we can't wait to work with.
We truly hope you love Rolling Render as much as we already do. It's an evolving journey, so all feedback is welcome.
